HASTINGS RAILWAY CONVENIENCES.

Ito the editor. 1 Sir,—l wish to draw your attention to the insanitary condition of the convenience in the ladies’ waiting room at our Railway Station. The stench arising therefrom is quite disgusting, and whether it arises from lack of cleanliness on behalf of the staff or through faulty ventilation it should be seen to by those in authority in the interests of public health. Government Department and Local Bodies should be very particular ano see that the public conveniences arc kept thoroughly sanitary, and so set a good example to the community. This complaint made in the interests of our citizens and travellers should result in the necessary immediate improvements.—l am, etc., •■CITIZEN.” Hastings, 13/8/1S
