WAIPUKURAU.

(Own Correspondent.) At a meeting of the School Committee on -Monday night it was re solved in accordance with the resolution carried at the householders’ meeting, to arrange for a seventh standard at the opening of next school year. The visiting commit tee. Messrs. Robertson and Atkins, with Chairman Goodger, were deputed to see to checking the water meter. Minor improvements required were reported. Air. Bungay was nominated to fill the vacancy on the committee. Ducks have been plentiful, and quite a number of sportsmen were out at the opening of the season. On Thursday morning the leouih left by the mail train and a heartv farewell was given them at the railway station.
