CANADA. MILITIA TO GUARD FRONTIER. (PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.] (Received 16, 2.55 p.m.) Ottawa, Feb. 15. The Government is considering the calling.out of the militia, under the compulsory provisions of the Militia Act, in order to guard the American border, and thereby release 50,000 troops in Canada for overseas. It is believed voluntadyism will be first tried, then, if recruits for home service are unsecurable, compulsion will be enforced.
