MANGOLDS AT THE AUTUMN SHOW.

This has been a fairly good year in Hawke s Bay for mangolds, and though March 6th is on the early side for showing root crops at their best, growers should be able to make creditable entry at the Hawke’s Bay Autumn Show that date. There are the usual classes for only four specimens each of a number of different varieties, and in addition there is-a competition for a growing crop of one acre in extent the first prize in the latter class being £2, and the second L'l- There are also numerous classes for turnips, and entries for potatoes can be made cither by the 4 bushc] sack or in lots of 12 tubers onlv.
