LAND SALE. Hoadley, Son and Stewart. Ltd., report a good attendance at the Browning street sale rooms yesterday afternoon, when they, in conjunction with Mr. W. J. Tabuteau, offered at auction Napier and Greenmeadows freehold properties in Tuke's Estate. Bidding was quiet and only one lot was sold, the remainder being passed in to be . dealt with privately. The lot disposed of was subdivision No. 2 having a frontage of 48 links to Emerson street, with shop and dwelling thereon, the purchaser being Air. L. T. Bisson at £1560. Messrs. Eddy and Smith’s Napier and Hastings business properties were also offered and passed in.
