MINERS RESTRICT OUTPUT.

Westport, Feb. 13. Owing to the alleged refusal of the coal owners to meet the Aimers Federation in conference it is understood that the miners at Denniston have determined to restrict the output of coal from that mine, and are limiting their earnings to twelve shillings per day. From inquiries made it is learned that the Westport Coal Company has not been requested for a conference by either the Miners’ I edei i tlon or the district unions ; also the Westport Coal Company is not a member of the Coal Owners’ Association.
