PERFORMANCES WITH ENTRY

The Owners and Trainers’ Association propose suggesting that the. Jockey Club issue a regulation compelling owners to give the last two performances with their horse’s entry when coming before a handicapper for the first time in order to obviate the possibility of the handicapper wrongly dealing with such horses. This applies particularly to other States and New Zealand. The advocates of the proposed rule assert that Sasanof would not have been handicapped 6.11 in the Melbourne Cup, if the handicapper had known one of bis last two performances when he captured a good weight for age race in Hawke’s Bav.
