The census gives the population of Palmerston North at 12,827, an increase since 1911, of 1,836. The population of Kairanga County is 4,121, an increase of 244, and of Poaangina 1,581, a decrease of 216. — Press Association. The Taradale District Soldiers’ Committee have received advice from the Defence Department that no men from Taradale, will depart tor camp with the 23rd Reinforcements. consequently the “Send-off” which had been arranged for Wednesday next has been cancelled for this month.
