C.J.C. MEETING. CUP WON BY ARDENVHOR. Cup.— Ardenvhor- 1, Snub 2, Mullingar 3. Scratched : Balboa and Marco Bello. Ladify made the early running, but Ardenvhor went to the front at the seven furlongs post and won comfortably by three lengths, a neck dividing second and third horses. John Barleycorn, a neck away, was fourth. Time, 3.25 1-5.

Onehunga Steeples.—-Tarero L Bonnie Jean 2, Captain Lock 3. Scratched : Tragedy, King, and Dewy Morn. Bonny Jean was leading when the last fence was reached; she then fell, Tarero winning easily from Bonnie Jean, which was remounted by a bystander, beating Cant. Lock for second place. Time, 6.23. After winning the Welcome Stakes Gwent fell and broke a leg, and had to be destroyed. Shorts Handicap;—Tatterley 1, Ring 2, Lupin 3. Scratched: Tinoreka and Arrar. Tatterley led all the way. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time, 1.3-5.
