A.R.C. MEETING. Auckland, Nov. 4. For the A.R.C. spring meeting at Ellerslie there was a large attendance, but misty rain was falling. Results : — . Maiden Hurdles. —Ulster 1, Guiding \\ av 2, Brookfields 3. Scratched : Doncaster* Nildah, Tokatka, Tamahere and Pitau. M on by a length, a short head between 2nd and 3rd. Time. 2min. 52sec. Guineas.—Hyllus J, Bjorneborg 2, AVaiuta 3. All started. Waiuta was in charge at the distance where Hyllus took charge and stalling off the challenge of Bjorneborg, . won three-quarters of a length. Time, lmin, 45 1-5. Welcome Stakes. —Gwent 1, Penthesilia 2, Rathlin 3. Scratched: Scottish Knight, Heavenly Dream, and Metallum. Gwent took charge after the first furlong.
