LADIES’ PHYSICAL CULTURE CLUB.

DISPLAY AND CONCERT. The display and concert given by the Hastings Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Physical Culture Club in St. Matthew’s Hall last evening was attended by a large and appreciative audience. The drills and dances were executed in an excellent manner and reflicted great credit on the efficient training of the instructress, Aliss Livingstone. The country and Morris dances were populai' items. The quaint costumes gave quite a realistic touch. The applause evoked attested hearty appreciation of a most pleasing performance. A trio by Aliss Voghter and A. and D. Watts was much enjoyed; Mr. C. Briasco gained a well merited encore for a splendidly tendered violin solo, whilst Air. E. Amner was most entertaining in his contribution. Aliss Murray renderecLa solo in. pleasing style and received a recall. The elocutionary items of Aliss , Thomson and Aliss White were greeted with raptuous applause. The accompanying of Airs. Al. Wood for the vocal items and Aliss D. Watts for the dances was most praiseworthy. The National Anthem concluded the pleasant and successful proceedings. A Sarnes piano was kindly lent by the local agent for the Bristol Piano Co., Air. G. S. Clapham.
