There was no sitting at the Napier Police Court to-day. Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Mitchell, who have been visiting Wairoa, returned to Napier yesterday. Despite the cold snap that has been experienced in Napier during the last week, many of the school children have commenced their swimming season. Bombardier Henty, recently reported wounded in France, was very well known in Napier. Previous to the war he was on the staff of the Bank of Australasia, but left with the Main Body. He was popular in cricket circles also. Nurse Taylor, who has been acting as temporary Blanket Nurse at Napier, left to-day by the Tarawera on her return to flunedin. Nurse Doreen, who arrived in Napier on Monday, came direct from the Karatane-Harris Hospital, Dunedin, where she has been in training for the Napier branch of the Plunket Society. She has now taken up her duties as the permanent Plunket Nurse here, being the successor of Nurse Donald, now abroad on active service.
