A Russian communique states: We repulsed attacks at Busseteni, in the Prado Valley. There was fierce fighting at Kimpolung, and on the left bank of the Alt. The Rumanians continue to press the enemy nbrthwards in the Jiul Valley. (Received 2, 10.30 a.m.) London, November 1. A Rumanian communique states: We repulsed an attack in the Prahavova Valley. We progressed at DragoslaveleThere is violent fighting on the east bank of the Oltetz Olt (Aluta) river. (Received 2, 11.5 a.m.) Bucharest, November 1. The Moldavia frontier is clear of the enemy. Our position is secure on the Prahbva. The enemy risks disaster if he enters the narrow valley. The enemy has retired from Kimpolung and recrossed the frontier. A British official report from Salonika states that we have captured the town of Barakli Jjuma, which is north-east of the Struma, midway between the river and Demirhissar.
