Wellington, Oct. 31. The Conciliation Commissioner announces that an agreement has been reached in the slaughtermen’s dispute. An eight-hour day is provided for and the rates of pay are 27/6 per 100 for freezing sheep and lambs, 20/- for potters sheep and lambs, with a war bonus of 2/6 per 100. Minor conditions are similar to those in thp old Hawke’s Bay agreement. The Arbitration Court judgmentin the drivers’ dispute has been filed. No increase in wages is granted, but some relief is given in connection _ with stable attedance, and the ordinary hours of work ate limited to nine per day.
