DRIVERS’ AWARD.

Christchurch, Oct. 30. The Arbitration Court has issued the Canterbury Motor Car, Horse Drivers, and Livery Stable Employee’s Award:—The hours of work are not to exceed -18 per week, ex elusive of time for attending horse: which must not exceed four hours for the driver of one horse, or eight in all other cases, and overtime is tc be paid for any time worked in ex cess of nine hours. The minimun. wagesdrivers are fixed as follow. One horse, £2,12 -; two horses oi more £2 15 -; casual drivers, 1/3 per hour one horse, and I,an hour for two or more horses. The hours for motor drivers arc fixed at 48 hours a week, and driver, of vehicles of 5 cwt to 1 ton are to be paid £2 15 - a week, and drivers oi vehicles up to B tons £2/17/6 pei week. Casuals are to be paid 1/c and 1,6 an hour.
