The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Hastings Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M. U., was held in the Oddfellow’s Hall, Hastings, on Friday evening, Bro. A. E. Fielder, that the District officers would pay an official visit to the Lodge on Friday, November 10th. It was decided to open the meeting on that evening at" 7.30, instead of 8 o’clock. Discussion having taken place re soldier members’ dues, it was resolved to continue paying same from special levy from the time a member enlisted until he was discharged "from the Forces. A letter of recommendation was accepted for Bro. E. A. Jago, Loyal Pioneer Lodge, Ashburton.
