FROZEN MEAT PRICES.

BOARD OF TRADE’S OFFER

Wellington, Oct. 27

A conference of the representatives of the meat producers of the Dominion, following on the conference of the Freezing companies’ representatives, came to a decision regarding the prices to be paid for the Imperial meat supplies from New Zealand, as cabled out by Air. Massev, after consultation -with the Imperial Board of Trade. The terms submitted provided that beef should be purchased f.o.b. at jd per lb over last season’s prices, and all classes mutton at id per lb f.o.b. over the last season s prices, if New Zealand agrees to the arrangement holding good for the duration of the war. The Board of Trade offers increase in the prices of lamb, class 7, to 6|d per lb, and class 8 to 6fd per lb.

The Board’s offer has been accepted with the addition that the prices detailed shall rule until six months after the termination of the war.
