NEW ARSENAL MOOTED. ITS USES AFTER THE WAR. : AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ABSN.J Paris, Oct. 26. The Ministry of Munitions coptemplates a huge arsenal in the centre of France covering 900 acres. The building will cost £4,000,000. I M. Thomas (Under-Secretary for ' Munitions) considers that . private firms are likely to turn to peace work after the war. France must not slacken her preparations, especially in view of the possibility of protracted peace negotiations. The new arsenal will also enable the State to assist in the reconstruction of the , industry of the invaded territory by supplying tools and machinery. The Ministry contemplates a model city for workers.
