Gisborne, Oct. 26. The Poverty Bay Turf Club’s meeting opened in fine weather wtih a good attendance. Results: — Junction Handicap.—Carlysian 1, Gazique 2, Mistic 3. Scratched : Lady Cartley, Sarah Grand. Waiorewa, Otara and Serbia. Won by half a length. A nose between second and third. Time, 1.3. Hurdles—Golfer 1. Woolloomooloo 2, Chef 3. All started. Won by a length, several lengths dividing second and third horses. Time, 3 min. 25sec. Roseland.—Hexton 1, St. Francis 2. Pearl Marie 3. Scratched : Potentiality. Colonnade, Nordica, Lady Multifid. Won by three lengths,’ third horse one length behind. Time, Imin. 17 l-ssec.
