The Arbitration Court delivered judgment in regard to the application to adjust tne terms of the Wellington shearers and shed hands awards, and the Hawke’s Bay Shearers agreement, by joining as a party thereto the Wellington Agricultural and Pastoral Workers Union, in substitution for the. Wellington Shearers Industrial Union of VV orkers.

In conclusion, the court summed up as follows Under section 5 of tne principal Act, an industrial union of workers must be limited to workers engaged in a particular industry or in two or more related industries. Under section 20 only such unions can properly amalgamate as are related to the same industry. Under section 23, the industrial association must be confined to industrial Union of a particular industry or related industries. Industrial associations can only be created by properly constituted unions. The alteration of the constitution of a union cannot be effected by the mere change of name. Under section 2 of the Amendment Act, 1910, tne New Zealand Agricultural and Pastoral Workers industrial Association of Workers is not a legally constituted association. The w ellingion Agricultural and Pastoral Workers Union and unions or other districts similarly constitute are not legally constituted unions. Defects in tne constitution of the above association and unions cannot b 3 cured by registration under the Act.
