SERBIANS CAPTURE TRENCHES.
(Received 25, 2.40 p.m.) London, Oct. 24. A French communique says: There is lively artillerying and aviation work on the Monastir front. The German-Bulgar attacks on the Cerna salient failed. The Serbians in their counter attack took trenches to a depth of 800 metres. The weather is hindering operations. The height of the river prevents activity on. the Struma front.
