Results:— Hunters’ Steeplechase.—Kiwitea 1 Critic 2, Kauwairoa 3. Won by a head, four lengths (separating second and third horses. Ruatangata fell, and The Hound and Fond Memory ran off the course. liimutaka xxandicap. — Splendant 1, Devotion 2, Tnoughtful 3. Scratched : Tango, Rose Pink, Merry Dale and Ima Ribbon. Won by a head and three-quarters. A length between 2nd and 3rd. Time, Imtn. 30 3-ssecs.

Wellington Handicap.— Nones 1, Taringamutu 2, Gold Soult 3. All started. A splendid finish. Won by a long neck, third horse half a length away. Time, 2min, 9 2-ssecs. RACING AT WAVERLEY. Waverley, Oct.. 23. Waverley Waitotara R.C. meeting was held to-day in fine weather. Results :— Brewer Handicap.—lnteredude 1, Veto 2, Lady Middleton 3. Scratched : Lady Amia, Raniki, St. Arengo.
