THREE MEN INJURED
Tauranga, June 15.
“While a gang of seven men were engaged in a cutting for the Rimu Company’s railway, about five miles from the Wairoa river, about forty tons of earth came down. Four men got clear, but J. Roberts and two natives got caught. Roberts was badly shaken and bruised, Kani had a leg broken in three places and Tankiwaho’s ribs were broken and his lungs pierced. He is in a serious condition.
