[to the editor.] Sir, —The formation of a National Cabinet will be hailed with satisfaction by ail parties, if only for the reason that the politicians will for a time cease from troubling, and a country weary of them will be at rest. I am pleased to notice that Dr. McNab has accepted the portfolio of Minister of Justice —he signed the petition in favour of reducing the life sentence passed on Alice Parkinson, and he is now in a position to see that justice is done.— 1 am. ec., L.
