fPKB PRESS ASSOCIATION.] New Plymouth. Sept. 25. The Taranaki oil wells manage ment reports encouragingly of operations in No. 2 well, which has been deepened and recased. A very active new gas vein was struck this morning at 2750 feet, and after two hours it began to force oil to the surface. It is still violent and the oil is improving. The rotary bore and the No. 3 well continue to yield well.
