EMPIRE THEATRE, NAPIER. ! A particularly fine Kalem play entitled “The Cabaret Dance ’’ is to be screened for the first time in Napier lat Hayward’s to-night._ The film is a grand drama, abounding in intense human interest. The leading role is ; taken by the great favourite picture I player, Miss Aiic-e Joyce, who makes j her first appearance on the film as a j dancer. The new programme is especi!ally strong in comedies, the Davis 'Company presenting “ The New Boy.” ■a most humorous personage, the Lubin ! Company contributing “Business and Love,” a combination which produces no end of laughter; and the Pathe Company concludes the programme with “Willies goes to tb.e Dentist,’’ in which title patrons will recognise possibilities for much fun. KING’S THEATRE, HASTINGS. “When Iron and Steel Meet.” a 2001) ft Vitagraph drama, heads the new programme at the Crystal Pictures tonight. The story of a big gun works and the stealing of an invention, with a love story intermingled, the picture is one which should prove interesting. > The supporting programme includes “An Exciting Honeymoon" (1771 feet) bv the A.K. Company, “Mabel’s Nerve” (Keystone 1000 feet), and “Their Great Big Beautiful Doll” (Thanhouscr’s latest dramatic success. PRINCESS THEATRE. HASTINGS. The star picture, “Dare-Devil Detective,” should attract a largo crowd to the Princess Theatre to-night. It is one of the detective dramas in which Haves is seen nt his verv best. Many stirring and thrilling incidents occur, which show great pluck on the part of the actors. Besides this film there are others which comnri.se a. very fine copy of the Topical Budget, in which mav be I seen some very interesting views of the brave Belgian troops, the famous cavalry being prominent.
