DISASTERS AT SEA.
THE BURNING OF THE KOMETA [PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.] London, May 4. The Limerick from Adelaide rescu.ed and landed at Liverpool five sailors from the Russian steamer Kometa laden with petrol which was blown up off the Algerian coast on April 28th. The sea was ablaze with benzine and they were the last survivors. They stood frantically gesticulating on the burning forecastle and were badly scorched. It is reported that two explosions blew part of the engines and the masts and deck and bridge high into the air, with the captain and seventeen , others.
