Thompson Bros., Ltd- report on the Wellington. fruit and produce market: Much heavier supplies of fruit nave been available and in consequence values are easier than recently ruling. Pears of all varieties have been and 'are still in very heavy supply with only nominal values ruling, but we expect an early advance when clearance of present supplies is over. The increased quantity t>f peaches now coming forward has reduced values temporarily. The following values have ruled during the Week:—- . The prospectus has been issued of the City of Dunedin Waipon Falls Electric Power loan of £150,000, debentures at 4} per cent repayable in 1934. INVERCARGILL WOOL SALE. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Invercargill, Feb. 21. The second wool sale of the season Was held here this afternoon; when a total of 8222 bales was ' offered and sold under keen competition from American and Continental houses. Fine crossbred and halfbred wools brought prices in advance of the January sale, but Strong wools or pieces were not sc marked. HASTINGS HORSE SALE. Lundon, Stewart and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual- monthly ■ horse sale at their Karamu road yards, yesterday, Friday, when they offered over 200 horses of all classes to a good attendance of the public. Bidding was very varied, sometimes being exceptionally, keen and at other times very dull. The firm report as follows: Young heavy draughts £37 15/- to £4O, lighter- sorts £27 10/- to £32 10/-, aged draughts £l5 to £27, good spring carters £lB to £26, lighter sorts £l4 to £2l, goo dharness horses £l3 to £l5 15/-, hacks and harness horses £lO to £l2 10/-. light hack and harness horses £4 to £B, unbroken hacks and harness horses £5 to £l2, unbroken light diraughts £l9 to £27.
