GHASTLY SUICIDE.
CIVIL SERVANT S WORRIES. Christchurch. March 11. William Wadham. aged 35, a single storeman at the Post Office, was found lying dead at the bottom of the lift well of the store-room at 9 o'clock this morning. Investigation showed that Wadham had apparently fixed a piece of wire to the beam at the top of the lif- well and fastened the other end round his neck. He stood over the life opening on the top floor and -hen shot himself through the mouth. A revolver with three undischarged and one discharged cartridge was found on the top floor. Wadham was said to have been worrying over the civil service examination.
