CASUALTIES.
DEATH FROM INJURIES. Dunedin, March 13. James AValker, who had a leg broken in December through a horse in his express bolting, and who had been in the hospital ever since, died in the institution last night. He was a married man, 52 years of age. MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT. New Plymouth, March 13, By a motor car accident to-day a well known resident named Norman Beriev sustained serious injuries, one ci bis legs having to be amputated above the knee. He lies in a critical condition at the hospital. The accident was the result of a pin dropping out‘of the steering gear and the car colliding with a telegraph post.
