LONDON WOOL SALES. PRICES RATHER FIRMER(Received 12, 11.15 a.m.) London, March 11. At the wool sales there was a large representative offering and a strong market. Prices were rather firmer. Messrs. Murray, Roberts and Co.. Ltd., have this morning received the following cable advice from their London house Crossbred market is weaker. WAIPUKURAU STOCK SALE. At the Waipukurau sale yesterday there was a large yarding of sheep and a moderate entry of cattle. Fat cows and heifers made from £6'lo/- to £< 10 '-. Fresh-conditioned forward bullocks made £7. A good station line of two-tooth ewes sold for 14/1, and an extra good line of four-year-old ewes (Romney-Lincoln cross early shorn) made 14 -. Inferior and low-conditioned sheep were difficult of sale, but good quality sheep were in good demand.
