FROZEN MEAT FOR EXPORT.
SPRING SHOW AWARDS. Messrs. Henry Fitter and Sons of the Central Aleat Market, London, who were asked to report, on the classes of five wethers suitable for export and five Jar ibs under three months suitable fo export exhibited at the last spring show of the Hawke’s Bai A. and P. Society, have forwarded their awards, which are as follows :- - Five wethers.—lst, Fcrpic and Richmond (pen 887); good 1 quality meat, one carcase poor in the logs. 2nd, G. P. Donnelly (pen 889) ; too fat for London market. The other exhibit that of Fcrnie and Richmond (pen s?s) was not well finished and poor in the legs Five lambs.— Ist. Oswald Nelson (pen 596). good qua lit > ; 2nd. Oswald Nelson (urn 897). good qualitv ; 3rd. Fernie and Richmond (pen very fair quality ; Itli. Oswald Nelson (.pen S'is). good lot spoiled bv one carcase plain; .3th, I’erno and Richmond (pen 890). one good, four poor quality : (>’h, George Elliott (pen 595), por.r ciualiti. three carcases plain in legs. Tn the awards made at the show, pen number was placed first in the wether (lass, with pens 88s ami 5«.7 s<’eon<i and third respectiveli. In the lamb class, pen number 896r’ was placed first, with pen sno second, «97 third, and 898 fourth.
