The Centre Party, National Liberals, Progressive People's Party, and Social Democrats, have introduced proposals that alterations of colonial territory should only- occur through decree, of the Reichstag. .

SOURCE OF DANGER REMOVED

The Chancellor, Herr von Bethmann Hollweg, speaking in the Reichstag, said that regarding Mr. Lloyd George’s speech, the German Ambassador in London had been instructed to declare that Germany was then engaged in negotiations with France which were not directlytouching on British interests, but if Britain desired to participate, Germany expected she would intimate her wishes through the usual diplomatic channel.

After defending colonial acquisitions, Herr Hollweg emphasised that the source of danger to German relations with France and Britain had been removed.
