A man itamwl Devoe, described as an artist, who was arrested on 1 Ith October last for brandishing a loaded revolver at the police, has been sentenced to fifter-n years’ penal servitude. When arrested he was found to lie also armed with a dagger. He confessed that he attempted to shoot the detectives after raid ing a shop in Oxford street.
