THEFT FROM SHOPS.
Dunedin, Mar. 21. Further enquiries made by the police in connection with the alleged theft of goods from various firms in the city, resulted in the arrest of two women, Frances Elizabeth and Beatrice Bell, who are charged that between January Ist and February 28th, they did receive certain goods of a total value of about £2O, knowing the same to have been dishonestly obtained. Frances Elizabeth Bell, mother of the other woman, is charged that between the years 1908 and 1910, at Dunedin, she did steal Doulton ware and glassware, valued at £5O, the property of the Dunedin Importing Company. These charges, are a sequel to the charges against McLean and Belford, who came before the court this morning.
