MOTOR RELIABILITY TRIALS.

TALBOT PL*’ED FIRST. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Christchurch. Dee. 30. The Canterbury Automobile Association’s reliability trials concluded yesterday. Cars ran through from Dunedin to Christchurch by wav of Rakaia gorge bridge. Three Cadillacs. three Talbots, two M olseley-Siddeleys. and a Vauxhall made non-stop runs. Petrol consumption test was made on the run home, figures for which were taken into consideration in awarding prizes. N. Gilchrist's !5-h.p. Talbot was placed first, and won special for lowest petrol consumption. A. Morten’s 14 12-h.p. M'olselev Siddelev was second ; Captain McLean's 20-h.p. Cadilliae third. Tn the trade class Dexter and Crozier's 20-h.n. Cadilliae won the first prize and the gold medal; W. J. Scott s 2‘)-h.n. Vauxhall second: A. G. Na’der's 16 2>i-b..p. M'olselev Siddmey 1 bird'.
