(~FUOM OUB OXS COBBESPONDEIfT ] August 10, 3.40 p.m. The following telegram from Dr. Deatherston was read in’ the House this afternoon ; “Melbourne, August 4, 4 p.ra.— General Chute will detain the 18th Regiment pending further reference Home. He cancels all instructions about concentrating at Auckland, and also cancels all tenders for transpoi t. 11 the troops should have embarked, he will order them back on their arrival at Australia.”
