METEOROLOGY.
Mr IT. Guthrie - Smith, writing from Tutira Lake, says:—“ The rainfall for December was 3.13 in. It fell on nine days, the heaviest fall being .85in on the 21st. On the Ist January, 1904, 3.11 points were registered, and 2.30 fell on the 2nd, a total of 5.41 points.” Air Thomas R. Moore, of Waimarama, writes: —“ The following is the rainfall recorded at this station for the past month (December)-.—3rd .16in,4th J)Bin, sth .23in, 7th .05in, Bth .28in, 10th ,12in, lltli .02in, 14th ,21in, 20th •06in, 23rd .03in, 26th .41in, , 31st 2.10 in; total, 3.75 inches.
