CYCLING.
CHRISTCHURCH MEETING. [PRESS ASSOCIATION.]’ CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. The Christchurch Cycling Club’s meeting was continued to-day. Major Taylor won his heat in the Scratch Mile, hut was blocked in the final, Sutherland beating him by a length in 2min 2sec, R. Connell being a few inches away third. Taylor made a wonderful sprint in the straight. . The chief handicap race, two miles, was won by E. Arnst (70 yards) in 4min 35sec.
