The standard states that preparatory to the incorporation of Rhodesia a scheme is being prepared to merge the Chartered Company’s police and the Bschnanaland police in the South African Constabulary.
A HARDEN PARTY. London, January 6.
Generals Cronjs, Botha, and Delarsy, Lord Milner, and Mr Chamberlain attended a garden party given by Sir Arthur Lawley, Deputy-Governor of the Transvaal. Mr Chamberlain, in a speech, said that though somewhat appalled at the magnitude of his task, still he was sanguine of the results.
