CAULFIELD STAKIS, 1 mils 1 furlong. Wakeful 1 Abundance 2 Kilt 3 Eleven started. Betting—s to 2on Wakeful, who won very easily by a length. Time, lmin 67aeo. Kingwood Steepleohaie, 2 milei.— Piddleatring, lOat 6lb, 1 j Plunger, list, 2; Kaimate, 12at 21b, 3. Eleven itarted. Betting—3 to 1 against Gratis, 6 to 1 Piddle string. Won by three lengthß. Time, 3min 64|ieo. Debutante Stakes—Duke of Grafton 1, Velox 2, Portland Belle 3. Twelve starters. The winner was favorite at 6 to 4 on. Won by three lengths, No time was given. Sevan started. Betting—2 to 1 Great Scott, 5 to 2 Loyal and Strata Florida. The favorite was first away, but soon gave piece to Fishery, who piloted Great Scott, Loyal, and Strata Florida to the five furlongs post. Loyal led into the straight. Once fairly the way home Strata Florida came with a good run and won easily by three lengths. Time, Imin 43iseo.
