October 12,4 42 p.a, Londok, October 11. Vice-Admiral Panahawa’s flagship for the Australasian station will be the first-class cruiser Spsrtiate. The Tima aajs it was heretofore considered desirab’e that the naval Com-mander-in-CLief should rant, next to the Governor of a colony. The higher status of the Governor-General or the Commonwealth is snffieioul- to explain the choice of a Vice-Admiral to command tte Australasian iquadron.
