DR. LIVINGSTONE’S COMPASS.

Mr Commissioner Sharpe, in his report on British Central Africa says that a recent incident at Tete, on the Zambesi River, has been the recovery by Mr Vice-Concul “Wallis of the old compass used by Dr. Livingstone on bis Zambesi journeys. It is a French ship’s compass, which ins been tilted with eights in order to simplify the taking of observations.
