ORMONDVILLE.
Friday evening in the Noraewood Town Hall saw the conclusion of the mock breach of premise cate, in connection with the Social Club. The learned counsel for both parties having addressed the jury, the judge summed up. A verdict for £26 in favor of the plaintiff was returned, and costs on the highest scale were awarded. The Norsewood Brass Band gave a dance in the Town Hall on Saturday night, when a very pleasant evening was pat in. Mr Lars Amundsen undertook the duties of M.C., the baud providing excellent music. Mrs Harrison Leo gave sn interesting temperance address in the Ormondville Rechabite Hall on Sunday evening. The Rev. Canon Webb presided, and there wss a fair attendance. At a meeting of the Omondville Homing Club, held on Monday evening, it was decided to get things into working order without delay, in the hope of having the first race about Christmas time. A very interesting, and for this district novel, entertainment, is to be given in the Norsewood Town Hail on Friday evening, by the gymnasio branch of the Social Club. Exhibitions in boxing, parallel and horizontal bars, and other exercises, will be gone through, and there will b) a dialogue by soma of the juniors, The proceeds are to be devoted to the future furnishing of tha gymnasium,— Own Correspondent.
