DEAN HOVELL’S BIBLE CLASSES.

An interesting ceremony took place yesterday afternoon, when tbe children

attending Dean Hovell’a Bible classes in the Napier district school assembled on the Deanery lawn for tbe annual prize distribution. The Dean has maintained these classes now for over 20 years. Before tbe presentation of the books Dean Hovell addressed the children upon tbe results of tbe examination. Tbe awards were then handed to the recipients by Mrs De Berdt Hovell, The following is the list:— Standard Vlll.—Hose Ashton, Nellis Windsor, Ada Ferguson, Lily Thomson, Standard Vll,—Alice Hamshar, Milly Hannay, Winnie Teyohenne, Violet Kendall, Beca Proffitt, Winnie Bauzi, Georgia Lasoelles. Standard JT.— May Bower, Pansy Osborne, Isabella Eakina, Minnie Campbell, Mary Eonlder. Gertrude Anderson, F. A. Noble Campbell. Standard V.—Doris Beyer, Freda Hamshar, Dorothy Proffitt, Annie Neilson, Adelaide Noble Campbell, Bose Stephens.
