I PER PRBBB ASSOCIATION.— OOPTKIOHT.] enemy's positions south-west of the settlement at Tientsin were attacked at dawn on the 9th. ' The Japanese troops, by a flank movement, expelled them, capturingfour guns, the cavalry completing the rout. Three hundred and fifty soldiers and Boxers were killed. The allies captured two guns and burned the arsenal. The casualties were nominal. The Chinese on the 11th inst. determinedly attacked the station, but were repulsed with heavy loss. The European casualties amounted to 150. The British and French troops demolished the fort.
