DANEVIRKE.
[FEOM OUB OWN COBRESPONDENT.] June 14, 1900. The friends of Mr F. Badley, lite manager of the Danevirke Co-operative Assooiation, intend entertaining him at dinner next week, prior to his departure from Danevirke. The best building sections on the terrace running parallel with the railway line are being rapidly taken up, the lot of 10 aores out up into seotions by Messrs Ransom and Bain having just been disposed of by Mr W. Bose, the well-known anotioneer and land agent. A tea meeting was held in connection with the Wesleyan Sunday-school last evening, about 160 being present. The ladies of the congregation presided over the tables, which had been neatly decorated in red, white, and blue. About 60 children, under the leadership of Mr Ashoroft, rendered several selections most creditably, after whioh a pleasing programme was got through. Addresses were delivered by the Bey. M. K. Gilmour, ( Eev. Eobertshawe, and others, and a distribution of prizes to the Sunday soholars followed. {
