THE PARIS CHAMPIONSHIPS.
[bt tklsobaph.] Chbistohuroh, Wednesday. At' a meeting of the oouuoil of the League of New Zealand Wheelmen, held to-day to discuss the complications which have arisen with regard to the International Cyclists' Association since the colony's representatives left for Paris, it was stated that at a recent meeting of the affiliated bodies of the International Cyclists' Association, the Frenoh, American, Italian, Swiss, and Belgian Unions had seceded and formed a new body, called the International Cyclists' Union. The International Cyolists' Association, shorn of bodies whioh possessed the most prominent racing men, thereupon deoided not to hold a championship meeting this year. The International Cyclists Union, on the other hand, has decided to hold the world's championships at Paris, and suggested that the New Zealand League should join its rankß. After discussion the secretary waa instructed to write to Reynolds and Sutherland, the league's representatives, acquainting them with the facts of the case and empowering them to act as they considered necessary.
