I.PSE UNITED PRBSS ASSOCIATION.] Chbistchubch, Wednesday. The entries at Addingfcon yards comprised 8200 fat cheep, 1000 fat lambs, 2700 atore sheep, 306 cattle, and 366 pigs. The.fat cattle of 195 head included a fair proportion of good steers and heifers, and an improved demand. There was more spirit in the bidding. Good to prime beef 17s to 193 Gd per 1001 b, other 143t01656d; nine good bollocks from Bakaia £9 5s to J6lolos, 20 lighter steers £& to £S 7s 6d. General quotations outside these were £l to J39 7s 6d for prime steers and £5 5s to .£6 10a for others, heifers £3 15b to £6 6s, cows .£3 10b to M. Stores and Dairy Cattle. —A mixed yarding, and bnt little demand. Fat Sheep. —A larger proportion of freezers than for some time past. There were some large consignments of good half and crossbred wethers. These met a keen demand, and prices were well maintained, bnt anything not prime was a shade easier. Butchers' ewes were in short; supply, and sold well; prime freezers 18s to 203 6d, extra heavy wethers to 235, light and unfinished 16s 6d to 17s 6d; batchers' best ewe 9 16s to 18s; medium, 13s 6d to 16s 3d; inferior, Us 3d,to 13s j merino wethers for freezing, 163 lOd to 17s lid; and butchers' sorts, 12s 6d to 13s 6d. Fat' Lambs. —The yarding included some extra prime lots, also several lines of unfinished. Freezing buyers competing keenly for lines lit for export, and high pnees were paid. , Picked lots, ordinary freezing quality, ranged from 13s 6d to 16s, And extra prime 18s to 21s; inferior Us to 12s 9d. ' Store sheep, mostly small lots, nob sraoh demand; good many passed: small line backward wethers 12s 9d; about 250 from Chatham Island 12s 4d and 13s 4d, line of ewes 12s 6d, small lots lambs 9s lid to 10s nd. Pigs.J-Small supply caused by a slight rue in price. Fat and forward stores met a better demand ; baconers 32s 6d to 40s equal to 3d to 3Jd per lb, porkers 25s to 31s equal to 4d per lb, Btores 11s to 19s, and suckers and weaners 4s 3d to 6s Gd.
