« Herald Office, Tuesday evening. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Limited, have received the following cable from their London office:—" Frozen Beef— Brisbane, best quality, hindquarters 4d to 4-} d per lb; Rookhampton, hindquarters 3Jd per lb, forequarters 2£d per lb; Frozen Mutton and Lamb— Prices since our last telegram are higher by id to }d per lb. Frozen Meat— We do not expect any important change in prices in the immediate future, but prices may decline somewhat later on." Messrs Wenley and Lanauze report on their monthly stook sale as follows: — "Owing to the rough weather of late prevented most of the sheep advertised coming forward. Cattle were well represented. Bidding dragged under the hammer. Privately, however, we almost cleared the yards at the following prices : Cows in full profit £A to £S, springers £i to £4, 17s 6d, store cows £3 to £3 ISs, a line of polled cows in calf £2; sheep, ewes in lamb 10s 83, fat and forward good-skinned ewes 103 3d."
